This i cannot pass, i have to share it too, i sent a clip to my brother Axl of a Dog malfunction, you can search youtube, and the genius found this one, and perhaps...some people wont find it funny but this cracked me up completely at 11 pm last night.  Enjoy, or hate it. By the way kids, i opened a band account on myspace, i´m exploring with Folk tunes so check it out and tell me what you think.  I will add more songs as soon as i organize myself with other musicians to record several instruments i cannot get here like Celtic Harp and Hurdy Gurdy. www.myspace.com/istalindarfolk

Some Time around October 2008

Here, i want to share this wonderful clip...this got to be my favorite Bjork Song.

I remember listening to the Sugar Cubes and watching her as she would quickly become one of the most amazing musicians i would have the joy to listen to in this life span.

She might be queer and eccentric, but at least she is certainly doing what she must, what she loves and what she feels is right to do with her life.

If there were mermaids they would look like her and sing just like her.  Her voice is absolutely unique, eerie, like out of this world... reminds me of how whales sings deep inside the ocean.
And guess what, i love whales and the ocean...and mermaids...

This song is more than it seems, at least to me.  the words are simple and also the message, but there is this magical and deep message wich is being delivered through her ( maybe without her even knowing ) and i certainly get it.  There is a sharp but warm feeling inside my chest and right between the eyes and forehead and makes me feel my head will split open on the top and a burst of light will come out of it to reach the very heavens and i feel like crying in a mixture of joy and nostalgic sensations....ah yes, i´m weird, didn´t you know that?  Music is my drug and i get so absolutely high on Bjork.  Not all the songs, but a few and this is THE SONG.   All is full of love....simple eh? but can you  GET IT? Do you understand what that means?

Enjoy and hope you connect too.

Well, i felt the need of creating a Blog where i can share some random things we find on Youtube, strange pictures, funny things that happens around here and what not.

Even though we spend our days working, we have some free moments where we dive on the net and find things we need to share with others so we wont explode laughing.

Feel free to join, add a comment if you want or two... just watch your vocabulary, no flame wars please, respect other people's comments and the rule is, if you read something that outrages you, just ignore it, there is enough hate chains in Youtube comments out there, do not waste your time and life and mine by writing hateful and disrespectful comments please, this is all for the Fun of it, don't be moody.

Anyway, i can always delete the comment but i try not to, unless it bugs me greatly, since i'm the moderator i can do what ever i wish bwuahahaha.

Ok! so now i want to share this interesting and cultural clip send to me by my brother Axl, i appreciate his efforts to make us laugh because he certainly achieved it.  Is it me or this is just hilarious?

Fabi.

From SoGlos, youtube user:

Gloucestershire Cheese Rolling 2008 video from http://www.soglos.com. Death-defying clips from the 2008 Cooper's Hill Cheese Rolling and Wake, where every year fearless competitors from around the world tumble down an almost vertical hill in Gloucester, UK, chasing an 8lb Double Gloucester Cheese. It can never really be caught as it reaches breakneck speeds but the first person to cross the line at the bottom of the hill wins the coveted cheese. Thousands of spectators turned up to watch again this year, and there were also a few of the usual injuries. Thankfully St John's Ambulances were on hand to whisk the casualties away to the local hospital. See http://www.soglos.com to find out more.

Alo, so i pimped out the website again, it looks simpler and i like it this way. I see i have several guestbook messages, that´s very sweet of you, i send the love back to you.
Many things have been happening, a fantasy book, a festival in my town, another festival i´m organizing for June hard work i must say, Belly Dance classes, daughter´s school festivals and homeworks and an Incubus and Smashing Pumpkins Concert.  We are healthy, we are happy and we have lots of work to do.   Being able to watch the Pumpkins play live after more than 20 years when i first listened to the first song has been too much, too inspiring. A dream come true.  I must say they are my favorite band, even more than the cure, even more than A Perfect Circle or Tool, even more than Faun, i can´t believe i´m actually saying this but yes, they are my favorite band, even more than Nine Inch Nails or Radiohead.  Smashing Pumpkins... Billy Corgan.... Smashing.....Corgan.... i guess you get the picture. Sigh... what a blessing, i truly admire this man for all he has been going through since he was so little, a great example that you can make your dreams come true if you persevere and work hard.  I would marry that guy in a second...thing is...i´m already married! hehe, well you get the idea.  thank you Universe for all i have and all that has been happening and all the opportunities.  I´m participating in two more places, Enchanted folk and Concept Art.

Wow..... now this has been a looong while.  Well, too many things:

First, i was invited to go to the Trolls et Legendes Festival in Belgium where i had the chance to exhibit my art in company of a good friend ( Tillian ) and i met my favorite artist, Mr. Alan Lee.  I even got a sketch.! I sold a few art pieces and made many sketches and sold lot's of prints thank the Gods for it.  It was my first time in Europe so the first impression will stay with me forever.  I met great people, met my favorite bands and had a great time the two weeks i stood there.
12.000 people went to the festival in two days.

Later on i had the chance to participate in Castlefest in Lisse, Netherlands.  It is, so far, the best fantasy festival.  15.000 visitors in three days, plain summer.  My cousin stood with me at the stall, i had the chance to meet Marc and make new friends, reunite with my new friends from the bands i like, met a friend from Denmark ( finally )
and people from Elftown.com, my art skills increased greatly. It was amazing to be there. So many nice people, music, magic, fun, and kind people always willing to give you a hand and help you as much as they can.

We went to Amsterdam where we stood for a week, i made sketches for people on the streets, at parks, at Bob's Youth Hostel wich is the best in Amsterdam ( if you go you will see why ) and other places. Great experience.

I went to stay with friends in Belgium again where i had a few troubles but got resolved after a while, something about the airline and my luggage.  I've never walked so much in my life.

I got invited to stay with Faun, one of my favorite bands and friends at Burgfolk festival in Germany.  It lasted one day but it was a great festival. Lots of music, beer and so much fun, i could help a bit at the Faun Merchandise stall, hanged around with people from the Faun forums, met one of my models ( Melly ), made more friends, listened to Rapalje again, talked with my lovely friend Kaat and Oliver, and got some ( a lot ) beers with Niel from Faun and Tom from the Faun forums.  Went to sleep very late (early, 5 am ) and got the train ( trains and trains and more trains ) to go back to Belgium

Something unfortunate happened. While i was in Netherlands, a friend decided to take his own life.  That was tough and too sad, he was just 17.....

This travel was exhausting for me and my cousin.  But i learned a lot about myself and about the world. I love Europe, and i can't wait to be there again.

Currently:

Working on illustrations for an Editor in Rumania.

Finishing an Oil painting for a Demo.

Waiting for a couple of commissions.

Working on a fantastic piece made by
an artist who wants me to add the color to her lovely piece.

Got informed that my art will be exhibited again
with three more artists in Belgium in a Large festival around April next year.

So i'm trying to figure out how to get there if that's ever possible.
Would be strange to have three artists with their work in an expo, and my work
displayed without my participation.

I live in Costa Rica and it's not easy to make that change of currency.
So i might add a "Donation" Button, to see if in a while, friends and fans can help a bit so i can get there.
Why not? This is not easy but it's a great opportunity.

02/06/07

It's been a while, many things have happened.    After contacting Renae Chambers, i got the chance to make two illustrations at the last minute for Margaret Weis Productions,LTD.
Second: I'm working on a commissioned oil painting, a portrait for a young man that will be used for a DEMO.

Third: More coloring of line art pieces made by other artists, including another one by Joe Linsner - www.linsner.com

And...... I will go to Belgium to exhibit my art and sell sketches and some goodies at the Trolls and Legends Festival April 7th 2007 with other great artists, for more information please go to the official Trolls and Legends Festival ( French), so see you there Belgians!

I had a small exhibition in a Cafe here in my Town, it was a good experience, people reacted well to my art but no one bought anything, it was easy to expect really, Costa Rica is not used to buy art, they see something they like and they say ohs and ahs and that's enough for most of them. But i wont give up, i live here, i'm supposed to do honor to my country and try to be successful here, but it's interestingly difficult.  So this is why i always try internationally and i always get great results. I'm trying to find publishers here, or writers who needs illustrators and i'm planning to make an expo at my Art School,  i will have more news in a couple of days.

Check this people please, my favorite music in the whole world, they are the reason i wanted to go to Belgium in the first place:

Ahoy!   Many things has happened lately.  First, thanks to a great friend Scott, i got the chance of coloring one Line art of one of my favorite artists
Joe Linsner, the piece is Thor.  Scott is showing the final result to Joe today.  Joe already saw a scan of it and it was posted on Linsner.com, artists forum and the thread called The journay of Thor.  It has nice comments and i apreciate the support of few but great people who has been following my art since i first started posting on Linsner Forums.  You can see Thor in my Commission Gallery.

Second, my soulmate went to DragonCon to show my portfolio, Eric, i cannot really express with words what it meant and still means to me that you did all what you did to be able to go there.   He took some cool pictures there at DragonCon, i will post them later when we download all the pics to the PC, by the way, our PC's name is SheBitch, from now on i will reffer to her this way.  I am grateful i have SheBitch, without her i wouldn't be able to express myself with all of you out there.
The portfolio got wonderful responses, i'm really happy, amongst the cool artists who saw the Portfolio were Larry Elmore, Clyde Cadwell, Joe Linsner, Eva Hopkins, and Margaret Weis Art Director Renae Chambers.  Dragonlance was the reason i wanted to take art more seriously, i wanted to create a portfolio so Renae could see my yllustrations, wich are only starting, and one year later my husband laid it on her hands, mission acomplished!  Now we will see what happens from now on.  Thanks again Eric for driving nine hours, talk to so many great people like Zekesters, Greg, Eva, Joe, Tim and many others. Thanks for sleeping in the car, for printing flyers, distribute them, buying that emergency extra pass and driving the nine hours back again.  You are my Knight.  We are such a Team!

Third, we've got a new Camera, so more cool pictures comming soon! more manipulations with good old Photoshop, more faeries and lanscapes.

And last, i'm starting a new oil today, this one is bigger, but i realized it's not big enough, but still i'm using it.  This would be my third oil painting, wish me not luck, but focus, patience, tranquility and inspiration from the universe.

Great video check it out:

Hello, people, for you who might be interested in buying prints from me, i'm going to change the prices next week, there are several reasons,
so this is the right moment to get anything with the current price, i am free to be hired to work on projects, commissions but no requests at the moment, sorry.

I'm working on three new paintings and five manipulations with wonderful portraits, one of the paintings is made with Oil paints, another one is a surprise, two actually hehe, can't wait can't wait!    Ok, and this new manips and paintings will be available as prints  except for these two surprises because those are commissions. I love commissioned pieces, i love to work for you my minions.  So, give it a try, think on something i could paint for you, i don't paint faeries and mermaids ONLY       , i can do almost anything if i am paid accordingly.

Have all a nice week, hope you get something before i rebuild everything.

4/09/06

Well, well, there are three new Items on the Print section.  I have a surprise, but i'm still working on "them".
I don't have much "movement" in here because this place is quite new.  On the mean time i keep on working and trying to finish things i left behind
a while ago. I am my own Boss, i love it.

I will add a section one of these days for my Brother's art and my Lovely mother's paintings.

Another thing: i am receiving pictures of people to create photomanipulations, watercolor portraits and cartoon portraits made by my brother,
if you are interested please send me an email with your request, details and idea or concept of the portrait you want.

Hi!  I added PayPal Buttons for you to press in the Print and Shop section ! hope you enjoy pressing many buttons!!! such a wonderful game!! Press them Press Them!

I'm working on a few Bookmarks tonight, hope to add them in a couple of hours.  I have a project with a couple of friends who are amazing artisans,
the idea is to offer natural handmade jewelry, very special and exotic, i will add a few to the Store in a Few days, and some Candles too, very beautiful, but that will be later because i want to print special stickers, specially for the candles with my art.

Soon Mousepads, coffee mugs, wooden jewelry boxes and so on.  One step at a time.

I have no intentions of selling my original art yet because:

One:  i want to make an exhibition with my originals.
Two: Because i'm still testing the Store.
Three: Because i might try them on Ebay one of these days when i  become famous enough!

New Offers:

There might be a chance of making a Design for a Company one of these days. Wish me "creativity" (not luck).

Well, hello!   I have some news, i have my art posted in several places so people might find
more photography or art that i'm not currently uploading in here yet, i just want the best for this site.

I'm working on a few projects and portraits, i'm making sketches as if there was no tomorrow and i'm planing to
upload them soon here.  I'll open a step by step page too so you can see the process of a watercolor or how i make a photomanipulation with photoshop, so maybe it can be helpful for someone and i think it's very important to see the whole process.

I've got several offers about illustrating novels, stories, poems and books.  I hope it will happen.
And someone is using my art to make mailboxes, that's sweet. At least it will lead to this site. Adverticement is good.

And i'm currently taking commissions or requests.  For more information please contact me:   info@elflands-workshop.com

Well, that's all for now.
